Cowboy Bebop Movie delayed till 4/4/2003

    No report on why, but this gives more time to convince a local theater to book it.

    It's still going to start in NYC and LA

    I don't get this; a year ago, wasn't Sony saying that releasing more anime was going to be priority, and that before Metropolis did better than expected?

    Ah well. It'll hit Cambridge, just a question of whether it's at Kendall or the Brattle (and when).

    That's too bad about the delay, I've been anticipating this for awhile now. I just hope the Japanese language showings are at reasonable times unlike Spirited Away.

    While this delay doesn't bother me so much I believe that Jason made a great point. COlumbia did say they were pushing the anime in a big way but all I've seen from them is Metropolis and if you would consider this one, Final Fantasy. Have they really done anything else?

    No they haven't. IF I had to guess, I'd say their anime push more involves co-financing and buy rights to upcoming films like Otomo's Steam Boy
