Why is it that studios insist on changing the cover designs of certain DVDs from territory to territory? Wouldn't it be far cheaper to simply use the same cover for all releases worldwide?
Case in point: Journey to the Centre of the Earth

American edition:

I wouldn't mind, but all are distributed by Fox... so why pay someone to design a cover THREE times?

This annoys the crap outta me too!

I don't have any idea why it needs to be done.

The Star Wars DVDs are virtually identical worldwide, why can't all the rest?

Who knows.
