Was this even out in theaters? I don't recall ever seeing it in theaters or even advertised around here. I was looking forward to seeing this, but figure I can wait another 2 months for the DVD.

Unless I imagined the whole movie while sitting in front of a blank theater screen, I can assure you it hit theaters, if only briefly. [IMG]

Like many specialty titles, it started life in a few large markets where it opened so poorly that Paramount Classics saw no financial reason to open the film any further. It really tanked at the box office.

I like the cover art. While I haven't seen the film (or even the original mini-series - I really should get around to that), I know enough to know that this cover really catches the film perfectly.

Too bad that it didn't do that well-- I saw it at an advance screening and was really impressed.

Loved it. Would definitely recommend a blind purchase.

Best (non-Criterion) cover I've seen in a long time.

I wanted to catch this when it played at the Toronto Film Festival, but couldn't get tickets. I'm really looking forward to seeing this one.
