That's surprising attractive and tasteful.
where is Gangs ? and a great cover indeed
See, there's nothing wrong with using the original theatrical poster for the DVD cover. I like it. IGN doesn't have the Gangs cover up but it must be coming soon.
How much do you want to bet that the Chicago cover art changes before it streets? At the very least they'll plaster a banner across the top trumpeting its Oscar wins...
Here's Gangs: One word: YUCK
Pretty sure the Gangs cover is a mock-up, for two reasons: 1) It will be released after the Oscars, so any wins will be trumpeted on the front cover. 2) I refuse to believe the cover could be done that badly. The actors' faces doesn't bother me (I've learned to live with it); it's the whole AA nomination sign--you think they could've tried to blend it into the background a bit, rather than have it stick out in an extremely bad way.
The one thing I do like about the cover is the tattered end of the flag turning into the skyline....
i am really hoping they change the GONY cover...it isn't the worst cover i've seen, but it isnt' very good. The Chicago cover looks really nice though i must say
Actually, I think it is pretty good. It is exactly the same as the poster art except for the Academy Awards nomination banner, which will most likely be changed anyway after the Oscars.
Gang of New York's cover = YUCKS
On GoNY, it's pretty weird that Leo's name is below his mug shot yet the other two are reversed. N
It's just too damn busy.
There's no way Chicago's is going to stay that way.
The only change I would make to the "current" cover art for Chicago would be to reverse the positions of Jones' and Zellweger's names (Jones should be over Jones' picture and Zellweger over Zellweger's picture). Just my $.02
