The Susquehanna River near Wilkes-Barre, PA was the site of the worst flood in U.S. history at the time ('72). It was due to Hurricane Agnes. That area still has minor flooding to this day. Also, have you heard of the Johnstown flood? That was Johnstown, PA.

The Agness flood in '72 had water up to the 2nd floor of this house.

Raunchy.

I put in a bid of $15k. I might go a little higher. I'll wait to hear back next week.

Adam, I figured you were looking near the Susquehanna. Where exactly are you (in general). I used to live on McLean St. in Wilkes-Barre and worked for Joe Amato at the Keystone Headquarters on Tunkhannock Ave. in Exeter.

I'm about an hour west of Scranton in the little town of Laceyville. That is about a half hour west of Tunkhannock on Rt. 6. The house is actually just about 1/8 mi. off Rt. 6. The creek feeds into the Susquehanna, which is only about 500 yards from the house.

My father owns and apartment "complex" (el cheapo housing) just a few houses down.

Wow. I had no idea. (Seriously.) Pictured all of PA as flat arid wasteland. (Unseriously... :D )

Insurance could be an issue. If your father has property nearby, he'd be the go-to guy.
