That's about the size at my local Costco too.

I'm hoping they add some titles after thanksgiving.

I picked up several Christmas titles there last year.

To be honest Amazon has had better pricing a lot of the times or I have gift cards at other stores.
I seem to always look and rarely buy at Costco.
I did buy the James Bond set when spectre was out.

We primarily shop for food at Costco.
I am disappointed about the lack of films there, but I am part of the problem too.

I always check out Costco first, because we get points off the membership with purchases, but they rarely had 3D. I usually ended up next door at Best Buy, and when I found that they would price match Amazon...

My local Costco (Washington DC suburbs) has also eliminated its Blu-Ray/DVD section entirely. I can't be too upset, since it never seemed to have the great selection or deals that others have mentioned on this thread.

    Same here.

Dvd/bluray is not my main priority whenever I'm shopping at costco.

Same here, but I was really enjoying it when I could also pick up a Criterion title or two for $20 a pop.

I know a discussion about Target is kinda off-topic in a Costco thread, but just to bookend a discussion from a couple weeks ago:

    And here it is:

Two small sections of A-Z and two small sections of New Releases (and one of them is mostly Christmas music). Very thin spaces for discs and most of what's there is doubled up. That's really very few distinct SKUs.

And, to be fair, there ARE a couple of end caps of the new Taylor Swift CD (but only because Target is having a big EXCLUSIVE deal in connection with the release).

The movie section fares much better, however, at Target...with a decent amount of 4k UHD titles.

The death of blu-rays at Costco may have been slightly exaggerated ...

The new Costco Savings book came out and "Starting December 1st Costco will have a selection of Disney Company blu-rays on sale for $18.99 ("savings" end December 24, 2017)

Pictured are Beauty & The Beast (Live-action), Lion King (animated) Cars 3 (Still in stores ?) Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 & Moana (no 3d versionns are noted - occasionally I've seen and older 3D titles sold with the same SKU as the 2D version as part of previous sales).

As of yesterday, my Costco only had Cars 3 & Spiderman Homecoming blu-rays in stock and no gift sets eg Downton Abbey or Sons of Anarchy Complete series ... as they used to before ..

For the record, as of Thursday of last week, all my Costco had were “Cars 3” and “Spider-Man:Homecoming”. So that appears to be the standing normal inventory now. *sigh*

My Costco had the Disney display that the coupon book referred to with some of the titles promoted. I noticed that they were stickered at $18.99, the "sale" price advertised , and not the so call regular price of $24.99 . So no instant off. Which is a good thing as you wouldn't be taxed on $24.99 .

I loved getting the 20 film DVD Best of Warner Bros sets that Costco sold for $35 the last few holiday seasons. No gift sets this year.

I was in Sam's Club recently for the first time in a couple years and was surprised to find any media after reports they'd dropped it completely. Of course it wasn't much, basically just the same as Costco: SM: Homecoming and a couple Disney/kids titles. They also had a separate cardboard display of Christmas related titles.

Nothing I was interested in, but I was surprised to see any media at Sam's. Surprisingly they still have a huge selection of books. I guess book sales must still be doing pretty well.

Looks like the holiday "ramp up" at Costco was dedicated only to books. I was at my store yesterday and there's a crapload of books, one entire aisle across half the store. Blu's were just a small section with the advertised Disney titles, and The Hobbit and Harry Potter collections, plus a separate cardboard display for Despicable Me 3 ($24.99 for 4K, $19.99 for blu). Very disappointing.

My Costco has added a display for the Blu-ray + DVD+ Digital of Dunkirk for $23.99. The 4K UHD is not part of the offerings ...
