I hope the songs are better than the ones that I have heard so far. I have a lot of hope for this band, but what I have heard of them is not very impressive.

Could there be better news than this? I don't think so. [IMG]

Good news indeed. I really liked the songs that were leaked not long ago, even though some were a bit rough and seemed unfinished. I think by the time the album is released the tracks will be well-polished.

Am I the only one who thinks of Iron Maiden when he hears the band name?

Well I for one have high hopes for this group. I was disappointed when Soundgarden broke up, as I felt that Cornell's songwriting was just beginning to hit it's stride.

Let's see if they break up again before the album is released, however...

I just received the first Audioslave newsletter. It would appear that the album will be released on November 19. The track listing is as follows:
    1 Cochise
2 Show Me How To Live
    3 Gasoline
    4 What You Are
    5 Like A Stone
    6 Set It Off
    7 Shadow Of The Sun
    8 I Am The Highway
    9 Exploder
    10 Hypnotize
    11 Bring Em Back Alive
    12 Light My Way
    13 Getaway Car
    14 The Last Remaining Light
They've also updated the website here. Can't wait!

The "Civilian" stuff was average at best. Too much Soundgarden not enough Rage. I hope the new name brings with it a new style.

Apparently, you can check out a full version of AudioSlave's first single,"Cochise," at http://launch.yahoo.com.
I haven't had a chance to get over there yet, but you guys have piqued my interest...

It's started playing on the radio too. It's one of the songs that was leaked previously.

I heard one last last night -It was horrible. The music wasnt so bad but the vocals were SOOOOOO bad.

    I was never a Soundgarden/Cornell fan anyway.
