I know posting links to active auctions is a no-no (and no, I'm not the seller...just a BTTF fan!) ... so head over to Ebay and have a look up this thing! Just search for "DeLorean".

(I hope this thread is okay mods! I was just blown away by this as a BTTF fan, and wanted to share with my fellow movie-nuts!) [IMG]

Man oh MAN, I wish I had enough bread to pick this up. Geeky as hell, but would it be fun to drive around town in, or what? [IMG] Looks like an AWESOME replica.

    Check it out!

I'd buy it if it could fly.

Well, it doesn't have "Mr. Fusion" on board, so it hasn't had the flying conversion done yet.

Yah just gotta figure out how to generate 1.21 gigawatts. [IMG]

I'd only be interested if it was one of the actual props from the movie. A replica? No thanks.

Actually Chazz, if it was for DRIVING and not just display, I'd rather have a well-crafted accurate replica. Most replicas of "star-cars" are street-legal and safe to drive. Screen used cars not so much. Just as a general rule of thumb... [IMG]

(Besides, I'm guessing that an actual screen-used car wouldn't be built quite as sturdy, and would cost a HELL of a lot more.) [IMG]

This would be sooooo cool to show up in at my 20th high school reunion next year. [IMG]

I wonder if the stereo has a tape of "Van Halen" in it??

I was thinking "Johnny B. Goode" on the stereo myself. Or maybe Huey Lewis?

That's assuming there is actually a stereo still hidden somewhere under all this:

From what I heard, Deloreans were piles of junk, which is why the company folded. Looks like someone found a way to dump one. [IMG]

That is very cool and very well done. Be a kick in the pants to drive around town.

Deloreans were well made, but Mr. D got caught smuggling coke.

Definitely agree with you on that, but I don't think I'd actually want to drive that.

I heard his cars had trouble staying within one lane, they always wanted to drive down the center of the white line [IMG]

I always thought the idea of a stainless-steel car was rather clever. I've only seen one of 'em up close though. I'd love to see how they handle. [IMG]

With or without a flux-capacitor. [IMG]

I still think the delorean still looks pretty good by today's standards, maybe that's just me. A real testament to the styling imo.

Still, there's this awful stigma around the car.

I hope there's a button for blasting smoke/vapor out those vents in the back-- might be handy for tailgaters!

If I had the money now I'd buy one ina heartbeat. How cool is it to have a car with gullwing doors ?[IMG]

And show off your DMC grille-marker to punk kids who wanna know if its a toyota or a honda.

Intresting fact: I was almost run-over by a bowder-blue delorean a few years back. But no one beleives me [IMG]

While vacationing in Niagara Falls, I went to a Star Trek props exhibit at one of the observation towers which included weapons and tricorders. I was very surprised to notice that Chinese made toy replicas were better made than most of the props.

The DeLorean replica is most likely in much better shape than any of the cars used in the movies.
