So am I getting what I should out of Comcast?

Should be no surprise that in the computer forum, I'd be the slowpoke since I'm using el cheapo Verizon 768K DSL $14.99 first year 17.99 after that. I got 722K down.

The other site I like is www.toast.net
They have a pic of the Space Shuttle blasting off. Speed tests are on the left side of the page, under Channels.

I know Comcast in my city now advertises a regular speed of 6mbps down and a "boost" of up to 12mbps when you're downloading a large file. And it seems like that boost is being show on quite a few of these results on here. So to answer your question, it's hard to tell but that seems decent. Comcast speeds apparently vary from city to city.
