Cool magnets inside AOL packaging

    Imbedded in the flap of this AOL box is a very powerful magnet, rare earth neodymium I think. This credit card killing magnet is used to hold the flap shut after you remove the plastic wrap. If you get one of these in the mail (and you probably will) tear the magnet out of the flap before you throw the useless and unwanted disc away. They have many uses; this tiny magnet will hold 10 sheets of printer paper to a file cabinet! I have used them to fasten speaker grills to my DIY speakers. [​IMG] [​IMG]

    I've always wondered what the yearly budget is for AOL pressing and packaging so many installation disks. And some of them have some really creative packaging, I think.
