Could a GameCube or Xbox be in my future?
I already commented on this before... I bet you will see a price drop for the consoles right around E3.
you know if there is a price drop you have to wonder how soon a new console will be out. typically when prices ahve dropped this much a new console is just around the corner.
The important part for those that don't want to read the IGN article:
I could finally use an X-Box...
I wonder how this affects the cost of the bundle for the xbox. I haven't seen a non bundle xbox lately at all.
I could finally use a PS2...
I could use a 2nd Xbox for a Media Player...
I'm imagining the price drops will look like this in Canadian dollars:
GC: $100 US = $150 CDN
XBOX/PS2: $150 US = $200 CDN
14% sales tax?? Momma mia.
I heard this today which seems pretty exciting. I wonder what Sony will change about PS2. The model # was changed the last time they lowered the price, but I don't know what, if anything, they changed about it.
The reason Canada has such high taxes on everything is free healthcare.
C'mon Morgan, that's a politcal post which isn't allowed.
Dang it all! I forgot about E3 and just got a Gamecube with a Super Mario Sunshine, a 59 Memory card, and a controller last week!
My impulse buying habits have led me astray...
Congradulations! No matter what some people might say, the gamecube is a pretty sweet system. However, I would strongly urge that you take back that memory card 59. It will fill up before you know it. You can get the nintendo memory card 251 for only $20 (holds 4X as much).
Ithaca: the town of two Universities (Cornell University and Ithaca College)... Some fond memories of college there... especially the Cornell Japanese Animation Society... and its humble beginnings.
Don't worry - after getting the NGC on Tuesday with Zelda: WindWaker, I got a Wavebird, a mem 251 card and two DVDs on Friday. So in terms of Memory cards, I am all set.
Just a bit peeved at completely zoning out on the probable E3 price drop while browsing and shopping at the Toys R Us at Times Square.
I didn't mean for that to be a political statement. The reason many countries in Europe have high taxes is for the same reason. It's not a knock against the country, its just the truth (AFAIK, though there might be other factors).
yeah I didnt think it was political but Im sure if you keep it up it just may
I wanna get a gamecube for a bill. nice
OK, its been more than a week and all of a sudden no more talk of price drops. So what is the story. This kinda came and went so fast it got me off guard. So is it happening or what? Doesnt look like it now.
