Just set up a new HT system and need some help.
The components I added were the Denon 3803 with some Def Techs 2006, 2300 and bp2x. I was hoping to find out what the advantages and disadvantages would be if I hooked up (already did this)the video from my dvd and vcr straight to my tv instead of going through my receiver.

Do I miss out on the DTS or other surrond modes? I noticed that the digital button on the front panel of the denon does not light up when watching dvds, although I have a dvd that is DTS/digital compatiable.

Is there a better picture by bypassing the receiver?

I haven't figured out how to switch from VCR to TV to dvd on the remote without having to get up and do it manually. Not sure if my routing of the video to the tz had anything to do with this.

Any advise/help would be greatly appreciated.
