    hi all -

    probably a dumb question, but...

do you require the same game in each gameboy in order to link them? or, can you use only one cartridge to connect the two hand-helds?

i've already got the two handhelds plus the usb cable...just not sure if i have to buy the same cartridge twice.

    thanks!

It's completely down to the individual game - each does it differently. A small number of games require each machine to have a cart. Most games offer a 'cut down' version with only one cart total, but a 'full game' if each player has a cart.
What that "cut down" version is again depends on the game - frequently it's say, smaller choice of racetracks or fixed character models instead of having a wide choice.
It's a good idea to check the reviews on IGN, GameSpot etc, or possibly a guide on GameFAQs for the individual title.
    Or ask here [IMG]

I recommend Konomi Arcade Classics, full versions on the linkup. [IMG]

I've never linked two GBAs, though Sonic has me tempted. The only other 2 player GBA games I have include Mario Brothers (original) and those just aren't inspiring enough to connect up.
