I am going to be connecting an Aperion 8" sub to a Rotel (RA-02) 2-channel integrated amp. The amp has no *Subwoofer Out* , so here are my options:

1. Run speaker wire from the amp to the subwoofer's Level In, then run speaker wire from the sub's Level Out to the speakers.

2. Use the amplifiers A and B speaker option, i.e., Connect the main speakers to *A*, then connect the subwoofer to *B*, then run the amp at *A+B*. (Using speaker wire)

3. Connect the main speakers to the amp in the normal manner, then connect the subwoofer (using RCA interconnects) to the amplifier's *Pre Outs*.

Any advice? Is one setup *better* than the other?

TIA,

Geoff

I’d say go with #1 or #3. The only difference is that with #1 the main speakers will be low-passed, but they’ll be full range with #3. Theoretically #1 should be the correct option, but try them both and see which sounds better.
