    Hi all,

My friend just purchased the Toshiba 57h81 TheaterWide projection set.

He's watching the Terminator 2 DVD, and he's still getting the black bars on top and bottom... is that correct? Shouldn't that be 16:9 enhanced, therefore removing those?

I'm not sure, but I thought the tv would do that automatically... are we missing something?

    Any help would be great...

the aspect ratio of T2 is 2.35:1- wider than that of the 16:9 set- so the black bars on the top and bottom are normal. Only movies with aspect ratios of 1.85:1 will fill the set, and that is because of overscan. Just because the title is anamorphically enhanced does not mean the bars are going to dissapear- its just a way to get more resolution with 16:9 TVs.
