Ok so i'm still living at my parents house through college. My room is NOT big enough for both a computer monitor AND a TV. So I use my computer monitor as my primary display device.

Anyway, I read briefly in another thread that it is best to set the refresh rate of your monitor to 72hz, because 24*3=72, and since NTSC is 24fps it should look better?

I use a 19" monitor and I run 1280x1024@85hz.

Would 72hz look better than 85hz?

Other members can of course correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the monitor refresh rate has any bearing on the visual quality of a dvd per se. I have always felt that the higher the refresh rate the better, which means less flicker and less eye fatigue, particularly since you'd be spending an average of 90 minutes looking at that screen. The refresh rate you have sounds good.
