What examples are there of zombie brand names succeeding after corporate death?
To my immediate recollection, it hasn't really worked for: Polaroid, Radio Shack, Blackberry, Kodak, and Palm.
I mean, yeah, I guess they're ongoing business concerns that haven't re-killed the brand. But did something really "Atari" or "Commodore" get created? I'm not aware of anything from them that's a phoenix rising from the ashes to rebuild its former greatness: just a nostalgia-fueled milking of the brandname by selling cheap retro retread products.Commodore and Atari are doing ok
