Maybe I should post this in AV sources, but I'll give it a shot...

I am new to LD's, and I only have a cheapie composite cable. Would it make any diff (I'm picky - if it's a small diff, all the better) to go to a higher quality cable? Accessories4less.com has Monster for $14 and AR for $10. Any opinions on those?

Thanks!

Well it IS small differences you will see with a cable, unless you have a large screen size. (the larger the display, the more magnified the small things are).

You also cannot just say "Monster" as monster has several different grades of video cables.

Your better quality/value would be to hit one of the custom houses and get a nice video cable with Canare plugs and coax (similar to what the broadcast/production studios use).

I think that a good cable is important for analog composite LD. I think $14 is a small price to pay. I personally like AR better than Monster. You get a lot for your money.

Going shopping for LD's today, I'll pick one up and post my opinion.

Thanks, guys.
