I just Purchased a Samsung DLP 50" HDTV. The Video component cables that I am currently using are the ones that the cable company supplied. Is there a need to go out and spend some money on better cables or just use the ones that I have? The picture is already pretty good. If so let me know who makes the best cables. I have seen Monster and Acoustic Research at the stores. Is there a big difference in the two brands, or should I go with a company that makes their own?

The ones you have currently should work just fine.

    Hi Drew. Welcome to HTF!

Usually the supplied cables are .. so so quality.

While I am not a fan of expensive copper, I do believe you should buy cables designed for the frequencies you intend to push and the size of the display.

This link to What cables should I buy gives you a quick overview on cables and some recomendations.

    Hope it helps.
