Ill be hooking my Xbox and Pioneer 563A DVD player up to my reciever and am planning on using the available component connections. I have read that the 3802 has had problems with component switching of HDTV. Would I be better off hooking the DVD player directly into the TV and possibly using just S-Video for the xbox, or will I not notice any degradation with the component switching for my DVD and xbox?

    -Thanks

Component switching problems? The bandwidth of the 3802's component connections is rated up to 27MHz. More than enough for the X-Box or your new 563 DVD.

As far as HD, 720p needs 37MHz. 1080i can get by on less but you do begin to run the risk of some picture softening, depending on the eye of the beholder...
