Quick question... unfortunately the component cable from my DVD player to my projector is about 6 - 10 inches too short. I've run the cable above the drop-down ceiling in my basement to shorten the length which I thought 20 feet of cable would be enough.
I wanted to know if using female couplers to another short set of component cables will be fine to use. Will the picture quality degrade at all? The cables I bought are from Ram Electronics (a sponsor here).

Thanks,
Tony

That's not a good idea. video, and especially HD video want a uniform 75 ohm pathway. The barrel-connectors are like a speed-bump to the signal.

Contact Ram electronics and see if you can exchange the cable for a longer one. You are not alone in sometimes needing a longer cable.
