    Hi everyone,

I have a sony 32" wega flat-tube tv (not hdtv) kv-32fs120 and a sony dvd player without progressive scan (i may upgrade to the progressive scan).

I used to have the DVD player far from the tv, so I got a 25 foot component cable from www.cablesforless.com. Now, however, I have the setup much closer, so I could use a 6foot cable. Is is worth buying a new cable to minimize the length that the signal has to travel? Also, with this setup, would it be worth upgrading to more expensive cables than the VERY cheap ones from that website?

    Thanks alot, Ben

Probably won't make a whole lot of differece, if any at all. I'd just avoid very sharp bends in the cable (vs. a gentle coiling of it).

If the cable you've got is of reasonable gauge, say an RG59 type, the amount of signal loss is neglible.
