Anyone know the Component bandwidth of the Pioneer 53TX? From what I chave read it seems there is only one component in. Is this true? Also, will the RS-232 ports i.e. 45 TX ever be used for anything?

I am not certain of the component bandwidth. You could just look at the online manual of the 45tx off Pioneers website. The Component bandwidth is the same for the 53tx. As for the RS-232 port on the 45tx...no one can say. The best shot for a upgrade seems to be DPLIIx since it would be 100% software, but nothing has been announced yet by Pioneer although other companies have been announcing upgrades for their RS-232 equipped receivers even some that cost less than the 45tx did (Marantz 7300).
