Having completed my Tempest based ported sub I'm very pleased with how it turned out and wanted to share a picture and say thanks for all the help along the way. I used the Creative sound 250 RF plate amp with separate remote and the Tempest in a 175 ltr box using a Dan Wiggins plan. Being my first project I was a little worried that it would sound like it was DIY but the thing is excellent, depth charges on U571 shook my sofa from 18' away through a concrete floor and it integrates well with my Mission/ NAD system. I don't have an SPL meter and as I'm very pleased as is probably won't bother with one.

great work! If it wasnt for that port you wouldnt be able to tell it is a subwoofer . BTW I love the look of your setup, very clean

Yeah it was going to sit at 90 degrees against the other wall but, but when I saw how big it was in the room I had to go with the "its like a chest to sit on and choose CD's etc story).

Um, no I'm not a dentist but remodelling my house has led me towards a more European look (I moved from London last year). and yup there are some construction of the room shots as below but I didn't take any pics of the sub being built.
