Complete HT System for around $1000 (1 Viewer)

In a nutshell: College student who managed to save up some cash. Old roomate moved out and took his DVD player with him, so while looking for a new DVD player I figured I'll just get one with a HT system.

I've been looking at the Sony DAV-FR9 and the Gateway KAS-303's.

Does anyone have an opinion on these two? I've heard the Sony's sound good, and the Gateway looks like a good deal but I've heard relativly little from people who actually own them.

Any opinions? Any other systems for around $1000 that you woule reccomend?

Bill, since you're going down the HTiB route, see if you can get a listen to the Onkyo (model 600 or something)
