I need something under about 15" or less in width to fit in my entertainment center. The only compact player I've seen is the Sony Psyc. Are there any box-shaped compact players? Are there overheating issues? Thanks.

There's always (?) the Teac Reference Series. They've got two DVD players: DV-H350 and DV-H550. Both somewhat obscenely priced, and I can't figure which are current in the US. But they are small!

Yeah I think the narrow units are the cheapies. I got an Apex AD-1200 for use in my office as a CD transport: it's only 12.5" wide. And it was only $49 at Fry's.
