Comments on the sound quality of the *Best of Sting & The Police* remaster? (1 Viewer)

Has anyone compared the new remaster of The Very Best of Sting & The Police to the original version? The original version only came out in 1998, so I wonder if the remaster is significantly better. I'd rather not buy the remastered version blindly. Thanks in advance.

As a side note, I bought the UK version of The Very Best of Sting & The Police when I was in the UK in June 2001. The package says it was remastered, and it has a 2000 copyright date, whereas my US disc has a copyright date of 1998 (I bought in '98). The UK version sounds better than my original US disc. I wonder if the new remaster released in the US is nothing more than the UK version I have finally released here.
