Never mind picture or audio quality here. What are some goofy, mindless comedies you have on hand to watch when you just want a good laugh?
For example, I just watched "Billy Madison". One of my favorites is "What about Bob?". Also Chevy Chase "vacation" series.
    Name some of yours.....[IMG]

For me, there are several. Ace Ventura is one. I just watched it last weekend for the umpteenth time. Airplane! is another. I also watched Bachelor Party last weekend. I can't imagine how many times I've seen it over the years. Great movie!

Although not a movie, I never grow tired of Seinfeld. I always watch it in syndication on Fox. Although I have every episode on videotape and have seen each one a zillion times, it doesn't get old.

I second The Big Lebowski and Office Space.

Also Rushmore (not a conventional comedy, but certainly one I re-watch).

Not really "mindless", but I am continually shocked by how often Mousehunt and Get Shorty find their way into my DVD player.

    For me it's easy...

    Better Off Dead
    Dumb and Dumber
    Caddyshack
    Slap Shot

I'm sure there are others, but those are the big four.

I count Snatch as a comedy, and I'm always up for watching it.

Other than that, the more traditional comedies.... The Vacation series (especially Family and Christmas), Caddyshack, Animal House, and the like.

My Dad has seen Christmas Vacation so many times that he now laughs -before- the funny parts. This is amusing, but annoying for people seeing it for the first time (yes, there are a few).

I would have to add The Burbs (with Tom Hanks) and Night Shift (with Henry Winkler and Michael Keaton).

Have them both in my DVD collection and enjoy them immensely.

Well some of my favorite comedies that I can watch over and over are the following.

    1. Spaceballs, can't go wrong with a spoof of Star Wars in a very funny manner. Granted the "Major Asshole" bit gets tiring after a few times, but the rest of the movie is gold.

    2. Monty Python and the Holy Grail, do I need to say more?

    3. Princess Bride, a classic comedy with very funny lines and action.

    4. Mystery Science Theater 3000 the Movie, while "This Island Earth" is a classic, it still fun to watch them take shots on it.

There more, but it hard to list them all.
