I am moving into a place which has comcast.

I am thinking of buying a commercial plasma which is alot cheaper than the consumer ones but therefore doesnt have a tuner.
Can anyone confirm that because i have comcast i do not need a tuner.

    TIA

If you're getting a cable BOX (vs just plain Jane cable) you'll be set. With just standard cable I think you'd have to run it through a VCR or the like.

Depends on what model cable box you get. Cable and satellite TV boxes with video jacks and audio jacks in back do not need a tuner inside the TV. Cable and satellite boxes whose only output to the TV is an antenna coax jack will either need a TV with a built in tuner or need a VCR to go between the cable box and the TV.
