    Hi all,

According to the Comcast site, HD is available in my area (07044). Although I don't see my provider listed in the FAQ, it came up with HD when I plugged in my zip code.

Anyone have it here in north Jersey? I have a few questions if I may: What stations do you actually get? What hardware is provided, and does it obviate the need to buy another HD box (OTA is another story, of course)? Must one be a digital cable subscriber?

Any impressions/info. would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Jack

I called Comcast last week and was told that you DO NOT NEED to have Digital cable in order to receive the HD broadcasts.
I was also told that currently they are having problems with the HD feeds and although it is available it is not working.
Apparently the cost for the HD capable receivere is approximately $7 per month (I think).
I live in central NJ so I don't know if this is the same as for northern NJ.
