Thanks all, for your help in this matter. We are currently putting together a dedicated theater system, and are leaning towards a Martin Logan set-up. We would certainly like to go with the Ascents for front left and right, the Theater center channel, and the descent subwoofer, but as regards to the rears, for purely aesthetics reasons, we are wondering if we can use different speakers. We would use the Martin Logan Aeons if we had to, but we are hoping to have a center rear speaker, and the thought of three of these sitting across a back wall in our basement is a little daunting.
Our question is this - what is your opinion on using a speaker such as the on-wall B&W Nautilus SCM1 speakers, or even the Signature 7NT in-walls?
We are thinking of using an Anthem AVM20/MAV50/MAV20 combination, but would be very appreciative of any suggestions! (We are also considering the Sunfire Cinema Grand III/5-channel Signature amp as well - my wife prefers this esthetically (!)).
Thanks in advance.:)

Allan,
I'm sure Larry will chime in since he is running ML L/C/R with B&W's as his rears. Due to space considerations I will probably forgo using my Aerius as rears and either use some small psb's or skip the surround channels altogether. The biggest issue you may have is the coherrence of your sound field when listening to Multichannel Music from sources such as SACD or DVD-A If you are a 2 channel purist :D like me then it just doesn't matter... wrt you amp preamp choices, I like the AVM20 v2 over the sunfire pre-pro and I prefer the Sunfire amp over the MAV amps...
