Not sure if this has been brought up before but go to www.cthv.com and take the VIP survey to tell them what we like about DVD's. This way we can avoid the non-OAR issues and they give you points towards VIP purchases.

I don't think CTS is going to get the data they're looking for on the web. Most of the people who complain about widescreen aren't web users.
Please take the time out ot do this survey. Just think of this as a universal(no pun intended) Columbia petition for movies presented in their original theatrical form.

I also completed the survey. I feel that supplier-induced feedback such as this is always a good thing. There more apt to do something with it. Thanks for the link!

Thanks for the link. Hopefully, this will help convince them to keep movies in OAR.

    Very good survey.
Can I ask, did all of you click Probally for the question
" In the future, will you purchase DVDs to replace existing VHS movies? "
I hope so because that means they will be releasing some other catalogue titles not yet out and That is GOOD.
    Regards,
    Ricky

Done. Pretty neat, if a bit ambiguous in places.
I'm surprised question #5 ("What do you consider to be most important when purchasing DVDs?") did not include OAR as a possible issue. Maybe they thought Question #1 took care of that, I guess. I wish we could have *ranked* that answer, so I could emphasize that the movie is the most important consideration...not price or box or supplements or anything else. "The play's the thing!".
I was surprised at my own answers to #8; some things I had thought were important supplement-wise in the past I just don't worry about any longer. Hmmmm... [IMG]

    I took it as well.
did anybody have problems with Questions 11 & 13.
Because if you answered no to questions 10 & 12
    you didn't have to answer questions 11 & 13
but it tells you you have an error, so I answered them anyway.

I would have liked to see these two questions:
"Would you purchase a movie you like if it was released only Widescreen?" Y or N
"Would you purchase a movie you like if it was released only in full-frame?" Y or N
I believe these two questions are the only ones that matter as far as what the viewer wants in a DVD. It should be the only ones that their business side pays attention to.

Just took the survey. And got 50 VIP points that I can't use since I don't live in the US.
Anybody want my 50 points? If so, email me. First email gets the points.

You have to register to get the points. And, if you do register there is another mini survey under bonus points. It asks about your DVD buying preferences again so you might want to do that one as well.
