as long as the disc is OAR with a decent quality presentation, i don't care what they put on the cover.

That has got to be a new low. What an eye sore!

What was so wrong with the original artwork? Does Val Kilmer's blown-up mug really sell more DVDs? For cryin' out loud, he was the only one shown on the original art anyways!

Columbia is also redoing their atwork for some of their already released catalog titles. I just saw the new DVD artwork for Starman. Words cannot describe how bad it looks. I can't figure out what was so wrong with the first DVD cover. Do they really think new, uglier artwork will move product faster? Either a movie was worth buying or it wasn't.

As long as it's OAR, then I'm happy, but MAN does that look awful...to the point where I am gonna be afraid to show it to my friends. Makes it look like some stupid teenybopper movie with Val as the heart throb. On a side note, I dunno if it is the original poster art, but the artwork for the Wolfen DVD looks very cool.

Come this years' annual "awards season", we are going to have to concoct a truly SPECIAL award to present to Col/TS for their covers...

    Sheesh.

As much as I just want this movie as my own...that cover is horrible. They could have at least used a better shot of him. I'm sure the photoshop pros will come out of the woods for this one

There must have been a change recently in Columbia's marketing department because over the last year they have shown that they really don't have a clue...full frame releases, really bad & unappealing cover art...what's going on?

I don't mind the bitter taste, because the film is so good. But man, are they make us pay for wanting this film so bad.

Still, buying it in a heartbeat.

Yeah...I didn't even mind the VHS cover since it was similar to the poster art...but this really stinks.
