Please use dual-layer discs for subsequent seasons of All in the Family episodes. Suggested episode layouts are:

Season 2: 24 episodes on 4 dual layer discs, 6 to a disc

Season 3: same

Season 4: same

Season 5: 25 episodes on 4 dual layer discs, 6 to a disc except for the final disc, which would have 7

Season 6: same as 2, 3, and 4

Season 7: same as season 5

Season 8: same as 2, 3, 4 and 6

Season 9: 24 episodes and a 90-minute-retrospective, same layouts but with a fifth disc for the retrospective

For Archie Bunker's Place, the sequel series (which I feel should be released after the complete original series has been released):

Season 1: 24 episodes on 4 dual layer discs, 6 to a disc

Season 2: same

Season 3: 25 episodes on 4 dual layer discs, 6 to a disc except for the final disc, which would have 7

Season 4: same as seasons 1 and 2

This info I got from epguides.com

And for other series with 13-episode first seasons (Good Times, The Jeffersons, The Facts of Life, and Married with Children among them), try doing a 2-disc set with dual-layer discs instead of what you did for AITF and The Larry Sanders Show.

Thank you.

I hope Columbia picks the best format for the length of the programs.

3 DVD-5's (15 GB) might have worked better than 2 DVD-9's given the running time of each episode, so the format probably is due to best bit management.

And please see if you can find some better source material for All in the Family -- Season One looked awfully rough.
