OK, I am in the process of renovations in my HT and now would be the time for any painting. Currently my decor is as follows:
Dark green walls (deep, forest green) with white trim.
At one end of the room is a brick fireplace. The brick is dark, but otherwise non-descript and really quite ugly.
The main couch and chair is newly reupholstered in a deep red fabric, close to the red of the stereotypical theater seats.
Carpeting is a neutral beige colour.
While I like the colour scheme, I also don't like it. [IMG] The red of the couch looks beautiful against the green walls. Also, my Paradigm Reference Studio 40s with real wood rosenut look sweet too.
My main concern is the fireplace. It looks hideous and I would like to paint the brick - but I have no idea what colour! Also, I am willing to either repaint the whole room or add an effect to the already existing colour.
Any and all suggestions would be appreciated!

    Hello,
I also agree paint the brick a deep rich red or burgundy,
Theatrical is always the best way to go If it is a dedicated
home theater, If it is a living room then choose your colors
    accordingly.
