With the sheer number of films you guys have rereleased that already originally had anamorphic transfers (like Legends of the Fall, The Fifth Element, and Starship Troopers to name a few), it's unimaginable to me why a blockbuster like The Karate Kid is still languishing in Region 1 as a zero-feature, 4:3 pan and scan! I'm not asking for a decked-out 2 disk special edition, but please, how about at least a widescreen transfer? You must be aware there's a huge market for this one, right?

A superbit DVD would be nice, DTS and DD tracks, WS video. A superbit delux with new features for that release would be reallyl good.[IMG]

A guilty pleasure to be sure, but I'd probably buy a copy.

As I've said all along, once the first disc comes out in OAR, I will buy all three.

I like The Karate Kid but I will not purchase the DVD since it is not in OAR.

    Columbia/Tristar,

I would purchase the Karate Kid if you release it on DVD in OAR.
