I have a pretty simple question which I haven't yet been able to get an answer for.
I know a RF modulator will convert composite to coax but is there a device that'll do the opposite - convert coax to composite?
I have an old video game system that only has a coax output and I would like to hook it up to my composite switcher instead of putting it all alone on my coax input on the TV. I was using an old VCR to accomplish this for a while but it just wasn't a very clean solution. I know I'm not going to get improved video quality by converting to composite but it's not like the graphics on this old video game system are that good anyway.
Thanks

I hate to tell you this jeff, but you need that VCR.
What you call "Coax" really contains RF signals. Your TV tuner is designed to pull out 1 channel (out of hundreds) and convert both the audio and video to .. channel 3 or 4.
Your VCR was doing this function for you.
Sorry bout that.
