'Click' sound from X-Box system. Should I be concerned? (1 Viewer)

Hey all!

Two weeks ago I finally broke down and bought an X-Box. On two occations, I have heard a single 'click' sound from the system. The first time was when I initially setup the system and was playing Jet Set Radio. The second time was this evening while playing Panzer Dragoon. Both times, the sound occured when there seemed to be little disc activity.

I was wondering if others have heard this with their units.

It's probably just the hard drive kicking in, I wouldn't worry about it.

I totally forgot about the HD! :b

That's probably what caused the sound. So I'm guessing that the system spins down the drive when it's not in use. Makes perfect sense.

The DVD player in my Xbox makes clicking noises sometimes when it tries to read the DVDs. Just cheap cheap cheap components. Hopefully you don't have the same issue...
