Cleopatra DVD. . .no exit music (1 Viewer)

I have come across a used Cleopatra DVD that has this defect. I did a search about it, and I've found reference to an exchange that Fox is doing, but I haven't been able to find any details on it. Can anyone fill me in on what needs to be done to get the replacement disk? Thanks!

I still have a saved e-mail from 6/13/2001, if you can believe it, where I copied info from either The Digital Bits or DVDFile - I forget which and my note didn't mention it - and sent it to a friend who had bought Cleopatra when I did and we both had the defect. Here's what was posted a year ago, word for word:

Attention all Cleopatra purchasers, Fox has announced that they will be offering replacement copies of the second disc in the set, due to the omission of closing music cues. Though they are not recalling the disc, you can call the Fox Consumer Hotline at 1-888-223-2369, and Fox will ship a replacement free of charge. Good to see a studio offering a no-fuss, quick solution to a problem many other studios might just try and sweep under the rug...

What's more is they don't even ask you to return the original.

So, technically, I have a four disc SE of Cleopatra.

I made my call on a Friday afternoon and received my disc in the mail the following Tuesday. Was that great service or WHAT?

When i received my replacement, there was heavy pixellation during the movie, but the end credits played fine. Isn't that strange! So i have to change the disc just to watch the end credits!!!
But it's good to see FOX fix this
