Not sure I am posing this correctly..but here goes...

In XP I have in search/info boxes all kinds stuff from long ago. Seemes everything I ever typed into one of those boxes still exists. Anyway I can clear those out?

Thanks in advance

If it's web forms you're talking about... go into IE, then from the Tools menu, choose Internet Options, then click the Content tab, and AutoComplete. From here you can clear out forms and/or passwords that were stored.

If you're talking about other areas of XP, I'm not sure, though you can clear some of them by right-clicking the taskbar, choosing Properties, Advanced tab, and click the Clear button.

Sounds like the AutoComplete feature. Go to Control Panel, Internet Options, then into the Content tab and then to Auto Compete. There's a couple of buttons in there to flush out the history.
