Clear screen (1 Viewer)

Just a simple question. Is there any such thing as a clear screen when it comes to widescreen tv. i am not talking about picture quality, but the blank screen Av1 or Extension 1 that is used to play dvd's or link camcorders. When i look at the black screen (blank) i see shadowy vertical lines running down either side. Shouldn't i be seeing just black with no inteference at all?

Have you used a disc with test patterns to calibrate? Video Essentials, Avia, Sound & Vision Home Theater Tune Up? Give one of those a try.

It sounds like your getting some interferance from either power or a cable crossing the path of the cable of the particualr input.

Move cables in the back around to see if that alleviates the issue.

Turn lights off in that room and adjoining rooms.

If none of that works, plug TV in elsewhere.

If none of that works, if you only have the problem with the "blank, blue, whatever" screen and it doesn't show while your actually viewing something...
forgetaboutit.

Or return the TV (if applicable)
