I have a Sony DVD changer that is 3-4 years old. It used to work great but is having problems playing discs as of late. It always recognizes discs but I get jittery/jumping audio and video. I am just hoping that it needs to be cleaned.

Question: what is the best way to do this? Use one of those special discs with brushes on it? I've never once had to clean my single disc DVD players (which are much older)...are changers more likely to get dusty? Or are changers more likely to break?

David

ps. The discs that I used during the problems were all pristine and played fine in my other DVD player.

I also read in some places that Sony's from that time period have notoriously bad lasers. Any truth to this? It was the first I had heard of this problem.
