I just got my first laserdisc player (a Pioneer CLD-D604) off EBay. It was delivered in perfect shape due to the excellent packing. It was double-boxed and wrapped in bubble wrap, which leads to my problem. The player has a sticky residue that I need to clean off. Any suggestions for what I should use to clean it?

David, the two best ways I know of are:

    1. Use a blow dryer to heat the sticky and try to rub it off.

    2. Use Goop-Be-Gone fluid. I use it to remove the remants of stickers on Jewell Boxes and other sticker sclouck that won't come off purchased items. It's handy stuff! Best wishes!

Thanks Rachael. I've used the Goop-Be-Gone fluid on DVDs and CDs before, but wasn't sure if I should use it on equipment. I'll try the dryer first. Thanks.
