Hi,
I just bought one of these of someone here (Thanks!) and had a question about setup. Does the digital coax pass DD as well as DTS or does DD only come through the ac-3 RF?
DTS is also passed through the optical?
composite vid better than s-vid (I have a mits 65905)?
Thanks a lot!

DTS and PCM digital through the coaxial and optical digital outs (I think the coax digital outs are colored orange).
DD out only through the AC3 RF output, which I think is colored black. You will need an AC3 RF demodulator (either built into your receiver/processor or an outboard unit) in order to listen to DD. Outboard units are becoming quite scarce.

What Stacy said is the truth. Unless your TV is pretty old he composite will definitely look better than S-Video. The S-video uses a fairly basic 2-D comb filter that was respectable for its day (1994), but is outclassed by most modern TVs.
