You're In The Picture: the one episode of this 1961 CBS Jackie Gleason flop, and then Jackie coming back the next week, and laying it out as that it was a flop, and explaining why it was (the second show where he owned it being not all that was far better received than the show itself; many thought it hilarious)...

GTV 9 Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
From a reprint of TV-Radio Week (December 5, 1957)

GTV is the call sign of the Nine Network station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The station is still around as of the time of uploading (September 2022) but sadly without the kind of quality programs mentioned in the above ad; instead it currently airs reality programming.

Donna Loren was the one-and-only "Dr Pepper Girl" from 1963 to 1968. She was signed to a long-term contract with the soft-drink company to sing all television and radio commercials, do all magazine and billboard advertising representing them in every capacity, sometimes sharing the spotlight with American Bandstand’s Dick Clark. This relationship led to her touring in Dick Clark’s Caravan of Stars with other popular acts like The Supremes and singing solos in the popular Beach Party films starring Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon. Later, she became the starring female vocalist on the popular 60's American live rock ‘n roll TV show "Shindig" as well as appearing in various singing and acting roles in popular TV shows like Batman, Gomer Pyle, The Mothers-In-Law, Red Skelton, Milton Berle. This commercial was one of the first of many filmed in Chicago by Grant Advertising. Dr Pepper's ad agency chose to place the product in five of the iconic Beach Party movies which gave Donna an opportunity to be seen in those films, helping her to rocket to stardom. Ironically one of the songs from the film “Beach Blanket Bingo” called "So, Do the Zonk", is carried over as a theme in the Dr Pepper commercials as the animated character always exclaiming ZONK! Her years with the company posted Dr Pepper's largest sales gains in their history to that time.

Tennis Commercial (1964)

Equestrian Commercial (1964)

Archery Commercial (1964)
