They are $30 each at flickeralley.com
Trouble is that Flickeralley.com freight charge to Australia is a whopping $27 more than Amazon.
So it's still much cheaper to buy them at Amazon.

I'm just livid that I had them sitting in my shopping cart for 2 days at the cheaper price.

2x Cinerama Blu-Ray discs landed in Australia
Movies Unlimited = $74
Deep Discount = $75
Amazon = $78
Import CDs = $85
Flicker Alley = $95

I'll stick with Amazon and their price drop guarantee.

Doug.

Brandon,
Thanks for the concern mate.
Not sure if I made it confusing, but those total landed costs above include the 2 new Cinerama discs.

Freight itself varies from $8 (Amazon) to $35 (Flicker Alley)

Hi Doug,

When ordering from Flicker Alley you can also opt to have them shipped International First Class:

First-Class Mail International Not Insured / No Delivery Confirmation
1-2 titles: $11
3-5 titles: $16

So as long as you are confident the shipment won't go astray (and so far they never did for me to the Netherlands), you can save quite some money on shipping.....

Regards,
Paul.

Thanks for that Paul.
That's certainly a lot cheaper.

I'll now compare the price again with amazon.
Either way I most certainly will be buying both titles.

I just got a notice from Amazon saying that the release date of both titles has been pushed back.
They will advise when a new date is available.

Bummer.

Thanks for that Doug, I did wonder as I could not order this from DVD World USA.Also some of these are getting cinema DCP screenings.I did see Cinerama Holiday in Bradford on the Cinerama screen and was very impressedbut know way did it match the PQ of any 3 strip Cinerama.

I was only one year old when THIS IS CINERAMA debuted. I was in grade school when all of the Cinerama travelogues were released. I never saw any of these films in their native format. As I head into my 60s, I suppose I could wait patiently for someone to fully restore the films to their 3-strip origins. But it's more likely that I'll die having never seen any of them That's reason enough for me to welcome and heartily support these digital restorations.

It did indeed. Does anyone know who financed this? A new 3strip print must have cost a fair bit.

Anyone else had a shipping notice from Flicker Alley? I had an email last night to say that a package was on the way from them! (I've got both films pre-ordered)

Not sure what you mean by film strip ~ and all it says on the email is "package". Thought it would be the blu-rays!

I got the notice, too.

(I think Doug is conflating this with Gulliver's Travels.) :)
