Does anyone know of site that lists which DVDs have been mastered such that Cinema Eq on a reciever should be enabled/disabled during playback?

    Thank you,

This question has been asked before and to my knowledge no one has compiled a list of films that require RE-EQ. I think that is due to people having subjective hearing, even though this should be a quantitative list of yes or no. Maybe no one knows which films require RE-EQ, I don't know. I usually engage it, and if it sounds funky to my ears than I turn it off.

Is there any way to narrow it down? For example, "All THX DVDs require Cinema Eq", or "Most Paramount DVDs do not require it.", or "Most new releases do not need Cinema Eq."

    Thanks again,
    John Flegert

I never use any kind of EQ or DSP in my set-up. I've always felt that the way a soundtrack is presented on the disc is the way it was intended to sound and should require no additional tweaking.
