I sort of rolled my eyes at this announcement...


...but then again, when was the last time we had a truly stellar Oscars host?


I still think that Billy Crystal is the best there is of our generation.

i had read that there were originally going to be two hosts this year. I'm guessing they couldn't find someone who they felt would be a good match with Mr. Rock. I'd like to see a Steve Martin return someday, preferrably solo, but matched up with Chris Rock could've been interesting.

I've been able to enjoy all the Oscar ceremonies I've seen, no matter who hosts, because I love the pageantry and pomp of the occasion.
