Not the same without Terry Kath's soulful guitar and vocals. Although the new singer that does his vocals comes pretty close.

    I'm looking forward to this!

I've seen them many times in concert and I am hoping they do a full show instead of the dumbed down casino show I saw them do last year.

They do a great job of taking few of their own hits and redoing them live with different instruments.

The song that stands out in my memory is "What Kind of a Man Would I Be". The did that song with a trombone and keyboard. It was done so well, it just blew me away.

Also I can't wait to start buying their catalog again, thanks to Rhino!!!

Thanks for the notice. I haven't heard much of their songs except for their 80's stuff with Peter Cetera.

When I tuned in at 6, A&E was airing a Janis Joplin biography. Then when I checked back around 6:20, the host was introducing the original members. Did I miss any songs?

Are they still technically alive or did they just thaw out the heads?[IMG]

Apparently A&E forgot to check their interconnects last night, and most people missed the first 15-20 minutes of the show. I was treated to random bits of Richard Simmons & Janis Joplin Biographies. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

But the show did go on, and will be replayed in a couple of days. For a live show, I thought the sound was pretty good, although I don't care for the call-in format.

Nice to see some old farts still having a good time on stage, although the youth of some of the women in the audience who were singing along surprised me. I NEVER had a girlfriend who liked Chicago.
