Just wanted to put in a quick plug for Mike Brown and Tony Parish. These guys have shown some real Pro Bowl caliber play. Of course, the Bears haven't played anybody. But boy, coming off the edge, or supporting the run, these guys look great! It's too bad that Urlacher's equally solid performances obscure their time in the sun.
I hope they pound the Niners.

How about giving credit to those draft picks from Michigan -- Anthony Thomas and David Terrell? :) Hey, I have to find a silver lining in this NFL season -- the Lions are on their way to the worst record in the league, but still will not get the #1 pick in next year's draft. The new Houston franchise gets that honor.
The Bears have been a big surprise. Who would have thought that Chicago, Pittsburgh, San Diego and Cleveland would be where they are in the standings?

If they actually were to "pound the Niners," then I'd be willing to jump on da Bears' bandwagon. I think that's bloody unlikely to happen, tho. Jeff Garcia is not Jon Kitna, and Terrell Owens is not Peter Warrick.
Too bad about Marcus Robinson....

Hey Scott --
Yeah, A-T looks great. Excellent feet, and he actually carries people on his back! I've always felt a little bad for Detroit. (As much as to be expected for a fan of a division rival!) :) They seem cursed. I've heard rumours of a return of ole number 20. And it ain't that Billy Simms guy :)
Mike -- It's true that the Bears haven't played anybody. But I'm not so sure that the Niners have beat anyone either. Played the Rams tough, from what I hear. The West looks to be an awfully weak division. I still have a hard time in believing Jeff Garcia's numbers. TO's obviously a solid receiver.
We'll see... he he. :)

Yeah... you're probably right. It's too bad, really. When he was on, he was electrifying! Ah, but those 1,000 yard east-west runs....

Parrish and Brown do know how to lay some helmet. Reminds me of the good old days of Plank & Fencik.
I am a big Bears fan and am happy for their success. I think the 49ers game will be a true test for them.

Ah, good ole no. 45 and 46. I've been reading some amazing stats on NFL/Super Bowl Champs, and that 85 team stacks right up there! :) Course, we're always talkin' 'bout that 85 team around here, now that we've won a few games!

DYK (Did You Know) -- The 72 Dolphins (all) opponents' winning percentage is .396, the easiest among champions since 1950!

You should have made the post about the Bears dumb couch who still won't start A-Train Thomas after rushing 180 yards. That's the talk in Chicago! Gotta fire the Jaron!

Bill: agreed, I just picked him up for my fantasy football team. He better get more carries now :)
I hope the Vikings can beat them in November, being that I'll be at the game. Personally what I like the best about the NFC central right now is the stalling Tampa Bay bucs. I hope the vikings can put the most overrated team in football the past 5 years out of their misery next Sunday.

I picked up the Bears D in place of the Giants, my regulars, for the last two weeks when the giants played st. louis and philly, and also for the Giants Bye week. I have been pleasantly suprised by the bears, and that they were available for me to pick up as a free agent in week 4.
I also picked Tim Couch. Have been pleased by his play thus far with Cleveland, and he has plenty of upside.
But I'm sorry If I bench the Bears for week 7 as the Giants play Washington. heeheehee!!

I'm really pulling for the Bears this year. It's been so long since we've had something to really cheer for in the winter around here....
